Thank you for choosing Dark Desire Window Tint and Vinyl. We would like you to have background knowledge on automotive glass tinting. Although we use some of the best window films available on the market, and perform quality workmanship, there are some factors to consider.
Dust is all around us and is next to impossible to fully control. We do however take every precaution necessary to ensure little to no contamination is present after the installation. Also, the older the vehicle the more likely you will have small imperfections. After your vehicle's application of the window tint, it is normal to have small water spots and hazing. Once the film has enough time to cure, these noticeable spots will dissipate. Silvering around the dot matrix does take longer to cure and may not fully disappear. Typically, this is noticeable on front and rear windshields as well as some doors that have a dot matrix.
Typically curing time will vary on multiple factors. Summer, we expect doors to cure within 2-3 days, front and back windshield normally take 5-7 days. Winter, we expect doors to cure within 5-7 days, front and back windshields could take up to 2 weeks to cure.
After care is very simple, please use ammonia free cleaning products after the curing time is complete. If using ammonia base chemicals, this could cause the film to peel away from the glass. If you still see water marks or any hazing, please allow more time before cleaning. If you have anything mounted to the glass, please wait to reinstall once the film is cured.
If you are having your front windshield fully tinted or applying a sun strip keep in mind the risk this involves. We use a soak rope and a dash towel to protect both the dash and electronics. However, in rare cases if the water reaches any electronics it may result in electrical failure.
Dark Desire is not responsible for personal items left in the vehicle and we suggest removing any personal belongings while your vehicle is being serviced. If you own the vehicle, we will offer a lifetime warranty on any window we service unless you choose to go below the legal limit or if you damage the film yourself. Maryland legal limit on sedans is 35% on all windows and nothing below the AS1 line on windshields. The legal limit on Pick-up trucks, Minivans, and SUVs is 35% on the front doors only (Rear can be as dark as you want) and nothing below the AS1 line.
For any removals you do run the risk of damaging glass or defroster lines. Window tint has a very strong adhesive that could be very difficult to remove. We will first use a steamer to remove the film, however if this does not work, we will use a razor blade and adhesive remover to fully remove and clean the windows. Always keep in mind reinstallations may have more contamination than a fresh piece of glass. We do try our best to fully remove and clean any contamination but it's not always that simple.
The team at Dark Desire does appreciate your support and understanding with all the information listed above. Again, we do aim for perfection for all projects we take on. If you have read and fully agree to all the information above, please sign and date the form below.
